Hello.   My name is Mike Zirkel, and I'm an Audio Engineer.    
Here's a little site that will hopefully give you an idea of what I do. 
    
Some quick background.....
I've been a full-time studio engineer since 1994.  I worked at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin for around 18 years. During that time, I worked along side some really talented folks.  Producers, Engineers and Artists that were really, some of the most brilliant people that I've ever known.

Well, the world and the industry changed, and Smart eventually had to close it's doors in 2010.

These days I pretty much just do mixing from my home. I have MS so my mobility is pretty limited, but luckily technology allows me to keep busy mixing from my own home studio.  (but this picture is from Smart)

When I run into old friends or talk to them online, I often get asked what I'm up to these days. So I figured I should have a place to share some work, for both business and for fun. So here's what I've been up to......
